The short version
The addon runs inside your game client and does not send data anywhere. The website has no tracking scripts or ads. If you create an account to comment, we store your username, email, a scrambled (hashed) password, your comments, and any recovery email, phone or two-step sign-in you choose to add.
The addon
Settings and guide progress are stored in your game’s SavedVariables files on your own computer. Absolute Leveling does not collect, transmit or sell any information about you or your characters.
The website
absolutegaming.store does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and reliability. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when a page loads.
Accounts and comments
An account is only needed to comment on our addons. When you register we store your username, your email address, your password in hashed form (we cannot read it), the date you joined, and the comments you post. Your username and comments are public; your email address is never shown.
If you add them, we also store a recovery email address and a mobile phone number, and only use them to send you sign-in, confirmation and password-reset codes. If you turn on two-step sign-in, we store the secret key your authenticator app uses and scrambled (hashed) copies of your recovery codes. Text messages are delivered through our SMS provider, Twilio, which receives your phone number and the message text to deliver it.
Signing in sets one cookie, abs_auth, which keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. While you enter a two-step code, a second short-lived cookie, abs_pending, remembers that your password was accepted (for up to 10 minutes). Both are required for the account to work and neither is used for tracking. Signing out removes them.
To limit spam we briefly keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address when you register, sign in or comment. These records are deleted automatically after two days.
You can change your password or delete your account at any time on the account page. Deleting your account removes your comments with it.
Bug reports
When you send a bug report, its text, your username, your account email and any screenshots you attach are emailed to support@absolutegaming.store so we can investigate and reply. We keep the report text (not the screenshots) on the site so we can track fixes. Don’t include passwords or other private information in screenshots.
Running the site
The site owner receives a weekly email listing registered accounts (usernames, emails, join and last sign-in dates, and whether account protections are on) to spot and remove fake or abusive accounts. Registration includes an automatic bot check; if Cloudflare Turnstile is turned on, Cloudflare processes your visit to tell people and bots apart.
Donations
Donations are handled by a third-party provider. We may receive your name, email address and donation amount from that provider. Card details are handled by the provider, not by us.
If you contact support, we keep your message and email address to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation.
Your choices
You can ask us to access or delete information we hold about you by writing to support@absolutegaming.store.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change and revise the date at the top.
